KENNETT SQUARE, PHILADELPHIA — Police across the U.S. are urging parents to check all uneaten Halloween candy after complaints were made throughout the country about foreign objects found inside of them.

A Philadelphia man that was checking the candy his children acquired while trick-or-treating on Saturday night when he discovered a sewing needle inside a Twix chocolate candy bar, Kennett Square police said.

On Sunday afternoon, a 12-year-old boy turned in a Twix candy bar that also had a needle embedded in it to the police, according to police.

A total of five Twix candy bars given out to four different children ranging from 7-12 years old on Saturday in the Stenning Hills area around South Union Street and West South Street were found with needles inside.

Just before Halloween on October 24, an Ohio girl reportedly found an object inside her Snickers candy bar. When police examined the chocolate bar via X-Ray, they discovered a disposable razor lodged inside, WBNS reports.

Needles were also reported inside a piece of a piece of Twizzlers candy in Maryland, Salisbury Police said. A full blister pack of medication was found inside a child's candy bag on Saturday. According to Lloydminster Royal Canadian Mounted police, since November 1, authorities have received five calls regarding pills lodged inside candy in Lloydminster, Alberta.

No injuries have been reported. Police are investigating whether the candy was intentionally tampered with before being given to children, or if the items were placed inside them during the manufacturing process.
