MOSCOW — Russian president Vladimir Putin has vowed to find and punish those responsible for bombing a Russian Metrojet over the Sinai Peninsula last month. In a Kremlin meeting broadcast in Russia on Tuesday, Vladimir Putin and the head of Russia's FSB security service confirmed a bomb brought down Metrojet flight 9268 from Egypt on October 31, killing all 224 onboard. FSB chief Alaxander Bortnikov said traces of explosives were found on plane fragments and on passenger's belongings. Bortnikov told the meeting a homemade bomb containing up to one kilogram of TNT detonated during the flight. Reuters reports that security officials and an airport employee, all speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed two Sharm al-Sheikh airport employees had been detained for questioning. One of the security officials told Reuters that seventeen people are being held, and two of them are suspected of helping whoever planted the bomb. Russia's FSB security service has announced a $50 million bounty on the bombers.
