Groom cut off rapist’s penis and ate it to ‘cure aching heart’

LAMPUNG, INDONESIA— The price to cure an aching heart could be deadly. Two Indonesian newlyweds could face the death penalty for killing the wife’s alleged rapist. The duo not only stabbed and burned the the man to death, they also cut off and ate the victim’s genitals. The Lumpung police found the victim’s body in a burnt car on Oct 4th. After more than a month of investigation, they found the 30 year-old man, Effendi, and his 20 year-old wife, Nuriah, were linked to the crime. According to the police report, the husband found out his wife was raped and lost her virginity to her former boyfriend a week before their marriage. They lured the victim out; stabbed him to death, set his car on fire, before cutting his genitals off. The couple later fried the genitals and ate them together to cure their “heartaches” over the incident. Even though they insisted the act was committed by Effendi alone, the wife was also under arrest for premeditated murder.
