Researchers believe that when the Martian moon Phobos finally gets ripped apart by the planet’s gravitation pull, the remnants could form a ring around Mars.

Several weeks ago, scientists announced the sad fate of the Martian moon Phobos.
The natural satellite is predicted to disintegrate due to gravitational pull, as its orbit continues to move perilously close to the Red Planet.
Though the lunar orb may cease to exist as such in about 20 million years, that doesn’t mean Phobos will be gone completely.
Now, researchers believe its remnants could form a ring around Mars.
