Argentina: Human Rights Groups Face Uphill Struggle Under Macri

Argentine human rights advocates are concerned that the gains achieved in the past three Front for Victory governments could be undermined during incoming president Mauricio Macri's administration. Although Macri's party says it will allow the judiciary to continue the various trials of military officials accused of human rights violations under the dictatorship, many question the new government's commitment to "remembrance, truth and justice".
