Final Fantasy 5 - second world dash to level 99 done

Reaching level 99 in FF5 is a massive undertaking since, even in the most experiencing area, it still takes 2 to 2 1/2 hours to level up. This area that I use, in the northwest corner is only accessible by submarine and it's accessible in both the second and third worlds. It may take 30% longer to level up, but the fact it's so early makes it very tempting. It's great for job mastery as well. In fact, I originally only wanted to just master every job for everyone. I then decided to push on farther for level 80, then pushed on more for level 90. With level 90 when only level 83 or so at the time, I decided to just go all out and go for the max.

This area can be used with a level as low as about 25 but it's difficult to use. For starters, you need at least 2 earth robes (4 preferred), summoner level 3, and the fastest jobs. You need a speed of at least 31 (32 preferred) to guarantee the first strike. With the fast characters, just summon Titan. If you can't equip the earth robe on the class you're using, you'll just need to summon Titan more often. Have everyone unleash Titan. Some character should always be a thief though so you have the "caution" ability to avoid back attacks. With this set up and if done right, you'll never get hit and you'll go through battles very quickly. Remember that every 8 units of weight, rounded down, subtracts 1 on speed. Continue in this fasion until MP drops to 50 or below - rest in the submarine to restore the MP. To save, just surface and go 2 panels to the right.

Focus on mastering the thief job so that someone can always have "caution", but also having the summoner have "footwork". Once all the fast jobs are used up, have one character with the thief and summoner jobs mastered use the "bare" job and have this character use the hair ornament and earth robe to very quickly go through battles. Keep this character as "bare" for a fair while then have someone else take up that role instead.

The real speed comes once everyone's jobs are mastered. Reina is the strongest on magic - have her with "!Summn" and "!Lance", the latter to restore MP. The others should have "!aim" and "!sshot". When Reina needs to absorb MP (best done with the 2-monster setup, for speed reasons), have the others use aim to finish off the monsters. For best results, go unarmed as bare fists are far stronger than weapons as attack power grows with level.
