Unnamed U.S. officials have confirmed to NBC News that a group of commandos recently landed at the Wattiya airbase in Libya only to be asked to leave shortly thereafter.

A post on social media has revealed that a small group of U.S. commandos was sent to Libya in a secret mission that ultimately failed.
On December 14th, the Libyan Air Force wrote on its Facebook page that 20 soldiers had arrived, in their translated words, “in combat readiness wearing bullet proof jackets, advanced weapons, silencers, handguns, night vision devices and GPS devices.”
Several pictures were included in the post including one showing the group's members with assault rifl
