Joyriding monkey hijacks bus and crashes it into two other vehicles

BAREILLY, INDIA — A monkey in India managed to take a passenger bus on a hilarious joyride on Monday, according to a report by the Times of India.
The bus' driver was reportedly dozing off in the back of the vehicle and failed to notice a monkey sneaking in.
The city of Bareilly in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh has reportedly been having a bit of a monkey problem as of late.
"Monkeys have become a regular menace at bus stations and workshops, where they often fiddle with vehicles undergoing repair," a regional manager for the state's transport authority told the Times of India. "They have also damaged CCTV cameras at stations."
This monkey, however, took things to another level. It somehow managed to start the bus' engine and by the time the driver noticed something was up, it was already too late.
He reportedly tried to chase away the creature, but frightened it, causing the panicked monkey to accidentally shift the vehicle into second gear.
The poor driver could only helplessly watch as the vehicle crashed into two other parked buses.
Luckily, no bystanders were injured in the odd accident.
