RAQQA / SYRIA — ISIS released a video last week showing what appeared to be the execution of five Syrians accused of being spies. The masked man who hosted the video has been identified as Siddhartha Dhar from the UK.

He was born in east London to a Hindu family who named him Siddharta Dhar but later took on the name Abu Rumaysah when he converted to Islam.

The 32-year-old father of four had worked as a bouncy castle salesmen for a time and joined the radical Islamic group, al-Muhajiroun. Dhar was arrested on suspicion of encouraging terrorism in 2014, but he skipped bail and fled to Syria where he filled a job vacancy once held by the infamous Jihadi John.

The video also featured a young boy in ISIS garb. "He's my grandson," Londoner Sunday Dare told Britain's Channel 4. Dare's 24-year-old daughter, Grace, was radicalized in college and moved to Syria in 2012.

"He's a small boy." Dare said, "They are just using him as a shield."
