The habitat of any bio-me depends on the climate of the region, the animals and plants found in the north pole are far more different than the south pole. The animals and plants living in this region form the ecosystem of the arctic and antarctic. In the antarctic region the plant growth is very less, hence the animals in the antarctic depend on sea food. These water plants are eaten by squids.

The Arctic Tundra has two types of food chain, marine based food chain and land based food chain. The marine based food chain mostly depends on Phyto plankton, Lichens, Algae, and land plants are the land based food chain.

The polar bears and wolfs have thick fur on their body to protect themselves from extreme cold.
The other animals like antelopes and reindeer migrate to south pole in the winters.
The burrowing animals like the rat and moles dig deep in the ground to protect from harsh cold winds.
