Footage has emerged of armed police entering a post office in the Goutte d'Or area in Paris on Thursday.

The video shows people running out of the building after being asked by the armed officers to leave.

The action took place right after a man was shot dead in front of a police station on the one year anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo attack.

According to the filmer, the whole street was closed after the incident and people were "brutally" asked to leave as the attacker had reportedly been seen near the post office before heading to the police station.

"The tension and insecurity were palpable," he added.
