Like so many, Nicole Kidman will never forget David Bowie .
On Monday, Kidman mourned the late icon while shooting her upcoming HBO series Big Little Lies with Reese Witherspoon .
A post on the singer's Facebook page on Sunday night announced the tragic news that the singer passed away just two days after his 69th birthday.
"David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer," the post read.
Bowie is survived by two children, Duncan Jones and Alexandria "Lexi" Zahra Jones , as well as his wife Iman , whom he had been married to since April 24, 1992.
Christie Brinkley recalled last night how she helped the couple conceive their daughter Alexandria "Lexi" Zahra Jones , now 15.
