A funny video has emerged of a cat trying to catch a fish in a mini-aquarium only to throw itself off the TV cabinet its sitting on.

The video, filmed on Sunday in Iowa, USA, shows the cat carefully watching the trajectory of the fish. Unfortunately, the feline appears to not realise the fish tank doesn't continue so it jumps at thin air.

It may, of course, have thrown itself off the cabinet because it couldn't stand being taunted by the fish any more. Either way, it's an amusing cat fail video.
