A new study has found that three graves in France dated to around the 8th century likely belonged to Muslim people which indicates that a Muslim presence reached more north than previously thought during this time.

Muslims may have had a presence as far north as France during the medieval times, according to new research. 
A recently published study by the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research and University of Bordeaux has found that three graves dated to around the 8th century in Nimes, France, may contain Muslim occupants.
