NO TO 'HOCUS PCOS' MACHINES. With less than a year before the 2013 midterm elections, Ma. Corazon Akol of the Philippine National IT Standards Foundation (PhilNITS) explains why the PCOS machines provided by Smartmatic can't be trusted. Among the deficiencies, as listed on TransparentElections.Org.PH, found were its failure to detect fake ballots, disabling of the digital signature and removal of the Voter Vote Verification.
