Gang loots California gun store in daring smash and grab raid

PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA — A gang of thieves smashed their way into a California gun store on Saturday morning by reversing a car through its doors before stealing numerous firearms.
Surveillance footage captured the incident as the masked burglars escaped with their ill-gotten loot from the store in the city of Petaluma, about 40 miles north of San Francisco.
The gang stole several weapons in a raid that lasted just minutes, ABC News reported, citing local police.
Police said the getaway car was a 1990s model light-green Honda Accord, ABC News reported.
The four suspects, all believed to be male, remain at large.
The daring raid came just a few days after a similar brazen robbery at a Texas gun store.
Last week on TomoNews we brought you video of a smash and grab raid on the Houston gun store. As many as 50 weapons were stolen after the suspects used a pickup truck and a chain to rip the store's doors off.
Police said up to 10 robbers took part in the audacious Houston raid.
But after police and Crime Stoppers urged the public to provide tips, ATF agents arrested three suspects on Thursday.
Nevertheless, if you own a gun store then maybe it's time to start thinking about some extra security measures. Surely something needs to be done to prevent so many weapons ending up in the wrong hands.
