A lot of cities have an ordinance against skateboarding in the streets, but not all cities have people as impassioned as the Friends of The Ann Arbor Skatepark. In (2008), a dedicated group of skaters and skate enthusiast embarked on 6-year journey to getting a skatepark built in the city of Ann Arbor for city skaters to have a safe and diverse place to skate.
