The NFL released its 2016 schedule Thursday night and the most notable item of interest is that February’s two Super Bowl 50 participants the champion Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers kick off the regular season Sept. 8 in Denver It’s tradition for the defending champ to play host to that first game on the Thursday night before Week 1’s Sunday lineup
