Taiwanese model dead after underwater photoshoot goes horribly wrong

PINGTUNG COUNTY, TAIWAN — On May 17 around 3:30 p.m., supermodel Olivia Ku died during an underwater photoshoot gone horribly wrong.
The shoot was held in the waters near Hengchun Township in Taiwan's southern Pingtung County. An experienced diver of three years, Ku should have had no problems handling her breathing underwater, leading police to investigate suspicions of human error. There is mounting belief the photographer of the shoot may have asked her to remove her breathing apparatus for aesthetic reasons.
It's being reported that Ku suffered an asthma attack and began choking on sea water. When she was pulled from the water, firefighters and coast guard officials tried desperately to breathe life into her. After rushing her to hospital, the unconscious model was pronounced dead at the age of 25.
