How to share the screen during a Skype call In this video tutorial we will show you how to share your screen during a Skype call. First, open Skype by double clicking on the program icon. Then, select the person you want to make the call to from your contact list, and click on the “Call” icon located in the upper right hand corner of the chat window. Once the call has been connected, the plus icon appears, giving you the option to add participants, send files, and share the screen. You can now choose whether you would like to share the whole screen or just one particular window. If you decide to share the whole screen, the other person can see everything you see, and everything you do, on your computer. The red frame around the screen indicates that the screen is being shared. If you want to stop sharing, simply click on the “More” button and choose “Stop sharing”. Although the other person now cannot see your screen, the call is still connected. If you choose to share only one specific window, Skype shows you all different windows that you can select. Choose the window you want to share and click “Start” Again, the red frame indicates the area that is being shared. Finally, you can stop sharing the screen or finish the call by clicking on the red hang-up button.
