Mozilla blocks Flash, Angry Birds 2, and more Windows 10 - Softonic News Roundup

Hi, and welcome back to the Softonic Roundup, Im Alex Beech, and I am here to bring you last week’s tech news. First up this week, Mozilla wants to kill Adobe Flash. And it's not the only one. It's been a week since the company’s last update to their Firefox browser blocked Adobe Flash by default. But why? Well, even though Flash is still commonly used in the construction of web pages, it has been the cause of many security breaches in the past. Because of this, many companies, such as Google, are opting to promoting HTML5 – much to the detriment of Flash. In fact, we are now at a point that Facebook, Google, and Mozilla are all speaking publicly about the death of Flash, with some even going as far as blocking the plugin. In other news this week, another Angry Birds game has been announced – Angry Birds 2. Yes, we know what you thinking, this must at least be Angry Birds 16, but no, it seems there has never been a true sequel to this avian flinging franchise. Despite hatching endless spin offs this is to be the first time developer Rovio have taken the core concept back to the drawing board. So far only a small promo video has been released to promote the game – but it only offers tiny hints at what to expect. Not to worry though, as there isn’t long to wait with the game releasing in less than two weeks. Stay tuned to Softonic for more news and video. Finally this week is our now traditional round up of Windows 10 news. With a little over a week to launch we are no seeing Microsoft getting ready, with its official blog starting to post a series of countdown videos. In this video series called "10 reasons to upgrade" Microsoft are showing all of the benefits of its new operating system, a system that it will promises to set the tone for a new generation of PCs. In addition, also have some new details about Windows 10. Firstly it will be possible to buy Windows 10 and install if from a USB stick. There is also good news for Xbox One owners, who will now be able to stream from their console to any Windows 10 device, providing a more versatile gaming experience.
