Madden NFL 17 Release Date and New Cover Athlete Announcement!!

EA announced that the Madden NFL 17 cover athlete will be revealed Thurs, May 12 live during the 6pm ET/3pm PT on ESPN Sports Center. While the previous six editions of the video game franchise have had the player determined by fan voting that won't be the case this time around. Fans can tune-in to check out which NFL phenom has earned cover honors this year, and also get their first look at an all-new gameplay trailer.

Madden 17 release date
The game is set to release on August 23rd this year. As usual EA Access members on the Xbox One can try Madden NFL 17 before it’s released for a limited time as part of a Play First Trial, this is only on Xbox One.
Antonio brown
The best WR in the NFL and dancing with the stars semifinals was a big part of last years Superbowl intro for Madden 16. Even though last year that was a WR on the cover I can see them coming back this year with Team Boomin!
Rob Gronkowski
After Jimmy Grahams falloff and injury last season Gronk has by far been the most dominant force from the TE position. Tom Brady's #1 Target has to energize the madden fan base you know people love their TE cheese.
Charles Woodson/Manning
Both drafted in the same round and retiring after hall of game careers these two will forever ever been intertwined. Woodson and Manning would join Favre and Barry Sanders as all-time greats that have graced the Madden cover. Peyton Manning one of the all time greats at the quarterback position would be more than deserving of the cover after shaking off a rough regular season to help the Broncos to a Superbowl Trophy. Woodson ended an amazing career with an all-pro selection and it would be his 1st madden cover after being the NCAA Football 99 cover athlete.
Von Miller
The former dancing with the stars contestant danced around all opposition last season totally 11 sack and 5 in the playoffs being ghe focus point of one of the most dominant defenses we have seen in years. He would be the most obvious defensive choice
Cam Newton
A two time runner-up in cover votes (Madden 13 and Madden 15). Outside of the SB where he got handled by Denver he was by FAR the most dominant player in the NFL last season. Also he is an avid madden gamer and pretty decent at the game from what I hear. So Cam would be my #1 choice!
Remember one key point is How many times the Madden cover athlete matches the new features of the game.
-Odell with his amazing catch fit into the aggressive catch
-Ray Lewis and his dominant defense featured the new defensive playmaker features
-Donavan McNabb with the vision and precision passing cone
EA will not be at E3 this year but will have their own function "EA Play" which we will be at to show you guys the newest features and gameplay from Madden 17, just like we did last year for the subs that have been with us from the beginning.
