On July 16, police in Fort Worth, Texas saved two men from a burning car, despite suspicions there was a loaded gun in the vehicle, notes ABC News.
Following a report of an armed robbery, officers spotted the getaway vehicle and began a pursuit.
Not long after, the car driven by the alleged robbers crashed and caught fire.
Though a suspect fled, two still remained inside the vehicle.
One was easily removed, but the other was trapped.
As the flames spread, officers exerted great efforts to get him out of the car and to safety, notes the Dallas Morning News.
Sgt. Marc Povero with the Fort Worth Police said, “In light of what happened a couple of weeks ago in Dallas and Baton rouge, people are taking notice of what police officers do on a daily basis. Keep in mind, they found weapons in the car."
According to WFAA, "Robbery charges are pending against all three men, while the driver has been charged with evading arrest."
