Where is it happening?
The adrenaline fuelled Extreme Sailing Series™ returns to Cardiff for the fifth year running. Now a firm favourite on the Cardiff summer sports calendar, watch eight of the world’s top sailing teams battle it out in Cardiff Bay, Europe’s Largest Waterfront Development.
Whether you’re a hard-core sailing fan or a wide-eyed newbie, the Extreme Sailing Series™ has something for everyone. The public Race Village, next to the Norwegian Church on the waterfront, provides the perfect viewing platform for Stadium Racing. Entry to the Race Village is free and activities include a 360 virtual GC32 sailing experience, a kids zone including the Team Extreme BMX skate ramp, Go Kart Party and a climbing wall, as well as the opportunity to try out the Glamorgan Cricket Experience and the Cardiff Blues rugby target. Cardiff International White Water and CardiffBay Water Activity Centre will also give visitors the chance to try out a Paddle Ergo and Laser Blast. Otherwise relax, listen to the live commentary, music, and grab a drink and bite to eat from the bar and food stalls.
Please note, the Cardiff Triathlon will be taking place on Sunday 26th June making it a full weekend of sport in the Bay.
Racing in the Bay will take place between 14:00 - 17:00 (17:45 on Saturday) across the 3 days. Back on land, on the Saturday and Sunday, the public Race Village will host family fun activities, a bar, mouth-watering food stalls and live music.
