'Smiley Face' of Kilauea Volcano Captured From Helicopter

A “smiley face” was spotted from the Kilauea volcano’s crater on Wednesday, July 27, during an ongoing eruption. Mick Kalber of helicopter tour company Paradise Helicopters captured the spectacular scene, while lava from the Hawaiian volcano’s Pu‘u O‘o Crater reached the ocean for the first time since 2013.
