US doubts Russian claim that its airstrike killed top ISIS leader

A US defense official criticized Russia's claim that its airstrike was responsible for the death of ISIS spokesman Mohammad al-Adnani. the official said. Adnani was one of up to 40 ISIS militants killed by a Russian bomber in Aleppo province, the ministry said Tuesday in a Facebook post. Adnani was killed while inspecting military operations in the area of Aleppo, ISIS' Amaq news agency said Tuesday.
