Steve Bartman not attending Cubs' World Series title parade, spokesman

Exiled Chicago Cubs' fan Steve Bartman won't be attending the team's World Series championship parade Friday, his lawyer says. "He was just overjoyed that the Cubs won, as all the Cubs fans are. We don't intend to crash the parade. The one thing that Steve and I did talk about was if the Cubs were to win, he did not want to be a distraction to the accomplishments of the players and the organization," Bartman's claim to fame occurred during the 2003 National League Championship Series between the Cubs and Florida Marlins when he failed attempt to catch a foul ball during Game 6.
