Power lines in Nelson, New Zealand, surged and sparked on Monday, November 14, as the South Island was hit by a series of earthquakes in which at least two people were reportedly killed.Geonet measured Monday’s first quake at magnitude 7.5; the US Geological Survey put it at 7.8.
