Trump just praised a major Democrat in the senate

In what may come as a shock to some, President-elect Donald Trump offered up praise to a prominent democrat in the senate. Trump's comments coincide with Schumer's interview on Fox News Sunday in which he spoke of positives, including issues where he and Trump agree. "Surprisingly, on certain issues, candidate Trump voiced very progressive and populist opinions. For instance, getting rid of the carried interest loophole, changing our trade laws dramatically, a large infrastructure bill," Schumer said. Schumer stated last week that he would work with Trump, so long as they can see eye to eye on issues. However, that last part doesn't seem likely. "We see each other occasionally at events in New York," Schumer said. "But I really didn't know him very well." Pressed, he added: "I learned far more about him in the campaign. I was troubled by a whole lot of things in the campaign."
