rFactor 2 - Stock Car Racing at Daytona Speedway.
My first foray for a long time into the alien world of stock car racing and ovals. Bearing in mind my inexperience I really entered into this just hoping to survive for 30 laps.
The race might not be particularly exciting to watch but, as I have always found with this form of racing, the tension levels were high throughout. My car was running and handling well even though it was on the stock settings but around 7 laps in I started to suffer overheating issues meaning I had to back off a bit, consequently losing the draft from the 5 leaders running in a pack ahead of me.
Surprisingly, there was no carnage, not even one caution throughout the race, so I apologize for the relative lack of action. Hopefully you will still enjoy this first outing in a stock car at the wonderful Daytona Speedway,
I apologize for the horrible stuttering at some points early in the race - not sure what was causing it, maybe the mod, maybe my PC/settings.
