Ranveer Singh: 'Not a part of competition or rat race'

Ranveer Singh is certainly one of the most promising actors in Bollywood today, however, the actor feels that he is not a part of any rat race and that he's an artiste doing his own thing. At a recently held promotional event for his upcoming film 'Lootera', when the actor was asked whom does he consider as his competitor in the industry, the 'Band Baaja Baaraat' boy said, "I'm an actor so I believe I'm an artiste, what I do is subjective matter. It's subjective, it can't be quantified and what can't be quantified can't be considered competition. So I don't consider myself as being part of a competition or a rat race." "I'm just an artist doing my own thing, there is no better or worse what you take away from a film, what you take away from a performance may be different from what somebody else takes away. So I don't view it as a completion at a very fundamental level," he further added. Singh's upcoming film 'Lootera' will see him opposite Sonakshi Sinha and it will hit the theaters on July 5, 2013.
