Automobilista GT3 race at Road Atlanta in the Audi R8 LMS.
Continuing the North American Tracks exploration series, I once again start at the back of the grid after a dismal qualifying attempt where I was about 2 seconds off the pace!
Although this did not bode well I lined up anyway and, as it turned out, it was a pretty enjoyable race which saw me scraping at the back with a mob of McLarens who were pretty "aggressive" with their moves.
Quite early on a full course yellow saw us parading around for a few laps so I edited that out of the footage. After the restart we once again went at it with the backmarkers and managed to avoid all the incidents to cross the line in 20th place. Considering the lap times I was running, which are probably some 2-3 seconds off what can be considered quick, it was a pretty hard race and I didn't have anything left in reserve. With only a 20 minute session prior to the race, my inexperience at Road Atlanta obviously had a bearing on my times so I was happy enough with my performance in a car running the stock setup.
