Everything you need to know about the Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has finally raised the curtain on the Nintendo Switch, its first console since 2012. Here are the basics: The Switch will release on March 3, 2017 in the U.S., Japan, Canada, and major European countries. For the U.S., you'll have to pay $300 to get one. What separates it from other gaming consoles like the Xbox One and PS4, is its ability to transform from a traditional console to an on-the-go handheld. The console comes with two motion-sensitive controllers and a detachable 6.2-inch touch screen. For fans of imports of Japanese exclusives, it was announced the new system will have no region locking, a big break from tradition for Nintendo.
