The fascinating hairless chimpanzees

Check out this footage of Mongo and Jambo, a father and son duo who suffer from alopecia, which is the general medical term for hair loss. Sadly Mongo passed away last year (2016) at age 22. He was undergoing a routine health check for his enlarged neck gland at the Twycross Zoo, but failed to come around from the anesthetic. Jambo is still very much the boss since he is the alpha male in the group of chimpanzees.
