by Andrew CaringiEver wanted to 3D-print your own tractor beam at home? Well, now you can.. Researchers at the University of Bristol released an instructional video that shows how to make the handheld device — an at-one-time fictional tool that can move objects from a distance. This one uses sound waves to trap and float small items, and it’s pretty cheap. The materials needed cost around $70 and the open-sourced designs are available for anyone with a 3D-printer.
