Trump pushes to roll back Dodd-Frank regulation

President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order Friday that will scale back financial services regulations. Trump will urge the Treasury secretary to review the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial oversight law, which was instituted following the financial sector crash of 2008. The Treasury secretary will likely consult with members of different regulatory agencies and the Financial Stability Oversight Council and report back on potential changes. “Americans are going to have better choices and Americans are going to have better products because we’re not going to burden the banks with literally hundreds of billions of dollars of regulatory costs every year,” Cohn told the Journal.
