Om, Let me meditate on him who has snake in his flag,
Oh, He who has a lotus in his hand, give me higher intellect,
And let Rahu illuminate my mind.
Prayers done to appease Rahu will help in granting favours from government, victory over enemies, and reduction in diseases caused by Rahu. This Gayathri mantra is also one of the remedial mantra for Kala Sarpa dosha.
Best Time to Chant : Rahu thisai or Rahu bukthi (sub-periods), Rahu peyarchi (transitional periods), Rahu dasa, Rahu antharam, Rahu kala, and on Saturdays, 2 hours after sunset
