Galapagos Islands: Caterpillar

We started observing this bright green fat caterpillar on the edge of the path to the Darwin Centre near Peurto Ayora. Tiny ants were crawling on it and we thought it was dead. Then, with an energetic spasm, it started crawling in a hurry, throwing ants off its back, passing its half-dead caterpillar friend, and into a rock crevasse.
