Loyal dog ties to revive friend run over on busy Chinese street

ZHEJIANG, CHINA — A tragic moment of a dog desperately attempting to wake another dog after being run down by a car was captured on video, the touching clip circulating online and bringing tears to the eyes of the internet.
On April 17, after bearing witness to his friend being struck by a vehicle on a busy street in Zhejiang, the faithful pooch did everything he could to revive his fallen pal. As the video clip shows, the dog tries feverishly to jolt his friend to life. Seeing no signs of life, he looks around to see if anyone else might come to their aid, but sadly, no one does. Not knowing what else to do, as cars continue to drive by and honk, he stands and waits in the freezing rain, unwilling to leave his friend’s side.
After waiting in the wet street for half an hour, the animal’s owner finally comes by to drag the injured pooch to the side of the road, the other dog following close behind. The owner can be seen using her phone to call for help, but it appears to be too late.
