Laz Alonso on Sway in the Morning: Rapping Before Acting + "Verses and Flow" show"

Actor Laz Alonso hung out with us on Sway in the Morning as HB and Tracy G held it down for Sway.

While in-studio, Laz talked about the new TV One show, Verses and Flow, which features spoken word and music talent -- similar to the classic Def Poetry Jam.

Alonso was clearly passionate about the new show, so Tracy asked if he had ever written poetry or raps -- and to our surprise, he did! Laz once dabbled in rapping before becoming a successful actor.
