Men Given 83 Lashes in Front of Indonesia Mosque for Gay Sex Offense

Two men were given 83 lashes each outside a mosque in Aceh, Indonesia, on May 23, for the crime of gay sex.The punishment was meted out before a crowd estimated at 2,500.Islamic laws against homosexuality were passed in Aceh in 2014. It is the only region of Indonesia to have such laws.
