Manchester bomb suspect linked to al Qaeda terror training

The suspected suicide bomber behind the Manchester terror attack Salman Abedi, 22, had ties to al Qaeda. According to a U.S. intelligence, Abedi, who is of Libyan descent, received terrorist training abroad. It is believed that Abedi, who traveled to Libya within the last 12 months, also had possible connections to other terror groups. Members of his family previously cautioned British authorities that he was dangerous, according to the intelligence official.
