These Robots Are Valets

by Anthony FalcoA robot named Stan is your new personal valet parker. Drivers use an app to set a drop off time and park their vehicles at the entrance to a parking lot. Stan does the rest — first scanning the car and adjusting for size, then lifting the vehicle off the ground to take it to an open spot. The app also lets drivers set a pick up time, so their car will be waiting when they get back. Each robot can manage over 400 parking spaces, increasing the number of cars in an area by 50 percent. Stan is already up and running at the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.
