Kurdish Forces Discover Islamic State Car Bomb Factory in Eastern Raqqa

US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces carried out clearing operations in newly captured areas of eastern Raqqa on June 12-13. One car bomb factory was discovered in the al-Mashlab neighborhood while tunnels were discovered under nearby civilian homes.As Kurdish forces continue to press further into Raqqa, local media reported that hundreds of families have been evacuated from al-Mashlab towards Ain Issa, where Kurdish forces have established a refugee camp for Raqqa residents displaced by the current fighting.Towards the end of the footage, Kurdish fighters point to a license plate found inside the factory which suggests that the car originated in Iraq’s Salahuddin province.
