'Spider-Man: Homecoming' could have $100 million opening weekend

After months of hype, 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' is set to open up in theaters nationwide this weekend The film opened in nearly 3,500 theaters on Thursday night and drew in $15.4 million, setting it up for a $100 million opening weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The last films to draw in more than that one Thursday were 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2' and 'Beauty and the Beast,' both of which made more than $150 million in the first weekend. 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' has gotten great reviews, earning a 93 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
