Survivor Top 100 Gen3 Moments - #57. Abi's auction win

Season 25, Episode 11.

Editor-team goes one step further in the depiction of a complicated villain — who faces some consistent turmoil which she can't always even affect herself, throughout her season — when in their laps, falls a storyline centered around said villain paying for, fighting for, and eventually winning security for one more night. This is one of these scenes only Survivor could have done so well, and its greatness lies in the confusion of what to feel toward this contestant, whose turmoil and shortcomings have both been very visible and out there. It's a beautiful kind of confusion, and also a great moment in the show's history, as it is the last time auctions could ever feel the same as they did in earlier seasons anymore. Yes, before half of the remaining cast sitting on their thumbs waiting for advantages, and everyone else getting steals and trying to eat them quietly so they don't offend their starving alliance-members... auctions were a long-lasting reminder of the innocent times of the show. Maybe even the longest-surviving.
