Call of Duty: WWII has been in development by Sledgehammer Games for three years, and releases on November 3, as is the nature of Call of Dutys. Prior to release there will be a closed multiplayer beta of some kind for pre-orderers—on PS4 first.

Call of Duty WW2 beziehungsweise Call of Duty WWII wird im Zweiten Weltkrieg spielen und soll zu den "Wurzeln der Serie" zurückkehren. Die Download-Inhalte sollen aufgrund der laufenden Exklusivvereinbarung mit Sony wieder zuerst für die PS4-Fassung erscheinen. Im Vorfeld wird ein Multiplayer-Betatest stattfinden, der zuerst auf der PS4 starten soll.
