Adding new charers Boy Villager, Girl Villager, & Isabelle from Animal Crossing, plus heavyweight Dry Bowser, as well as 2 Cups (Crossing Cup & Bell Cup) with 8 new courses including Baby Park (GCN), Cheese Land (GBA), Wild Woods, Animal Crossing, Neo Bowser City (3DS), Ribbon Road (GBA), Super Bell Subway & Big Blue from F-Zero. Theres also new vehicles the Streetle, City Tripper, P-Wing & the Bone Rattler, plus the Leaf Tires & the Paper Glider! This is the first Mario Kart game in beautiful HD & theyve also added some awesome features, including the new ATV, 14 new charers (5 of which have never been in any Mario Kart game before), 4 new items (Boomerang Flower, Potted Piranha Plant, Super Horn, Crazy 8), & the brand new anti-gravity mechanic, which looks amazing as you follow the track upside-down. In total, there are over 30 playable charers (Roster Spoilers: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Toad, Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Peach, Baby Daisy, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Wario, Waluigi, Rosalina, Toadette, Metal Mario, Lakitu, the Koopalings Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, & Ludwig, Pink Gold Peach, Baby Rosalina, Link, Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, Boy & Girl Villagers, Isabelle, Dry Bowser, and Mii),14 of which are unlocked randomly as you win cups in offline grand prix, 21 items, & 32 tracks: 16 new & 16 lovingly remade from past Mario Kart games, not to mention 4 DLC Cups with 16 additional tracks. Youve got to make sure were collecting a ton of coins, not just because they make you drive faster, but theyre also used to unlock the 14 karts, 9 bikes, 3 ATVs, 18 tire types, and 11 gliders. Just like in Mario Kart 7, you can custom select your vehicle, tires, & glider. Outside of the Grand Prix cups, you can also play Time trials, plus local & online VS or Battle Modes. Bikes, gliders, and underwater driving also return. Reviews have been phenomenal, though Ill give my final review once weve beaten all tracks, every cup, & found all unlockables.
