Hey guys! I know this is a bit different from my usual content, but Ive had a few friends ask me how to get started using ProTools First, which is the free version of ProTools that was recently released. I decided to go ahead and record a tutorial I could share easily enough, and figured it may help out a few of you who have come to me asking how to get started with voiceover at home and using audio software. ProTools is a bit daunting at first, but a great piece of software so I hope this is helpful if youre looking to get started with it. I do recommend making sure youre familiar with a simple audio editing program first, like Audacity, before tackling ProTools!\r

This is an unscripted, casual walkthrough. Yes, I realize it is long, but I honestly recorded this expecting to get a dozen views from my friends who wanted some pointers. I do intend to eventually create some scripted tutorials for you eventually since this has received such a huge about of positive feedback, but right now please take what you can from this and be patient with me while I find the time to do more!\r

Please keep in mind this is simply my personal workflow and recommendations. There are lots of different ways to utilize this software, but I hope this is a helpful resource for anyone with the specific application of recording voice over.\r
