If there is one thing novice Texas Hold'em players do more than anything else -- something that basically screams that they are inexperienced -- that is calling or 'limping' before the flop.

Limping to see flops might seem like a way to save chips, but it is much more likely to lose you chips in the long run. New players usually know to raise with hands like A-A or K-K. But with medium-strength hands like Q-J or 7-7 some are tempted just to call to see a flop.
